Everyone entering or leaving the Dominican Republic needs an e-Ticket. It is free on the official site eticket.migracion.gob.do. You can fill it in as soon as you have your flight details, but it must be done before you reach the airline counter. A round trip needs two: one for arrival and one for departure.
What is the e-Ticket?
A single online form that combines the immigration, customs and health declarations. When you finish, you get QR codes to show at the airport or cruise port.
How do you fill it in?
- Go to eticket.migracion.gob.do; it costs nothing.
- Have your passport, flight number and hotel address ready.
- One form can cover up to 7 family members travelling together.
- Complete the departure e-Ticket before your flight home too.
- Save the QR codes on your phone and take a screenshot in case there is no signal.
Should you pay a website to do it?
No. Sites that charge a "service fee" submit the same free form. Only use the government site.
Do you still need a tourist card?
For most visitors the tourist fee is included in the air fare. Check with your airline if you fly on a charter.
