Abel hits the streets of Amsterdam for one of the best late evening meals on this Dutch metropolis. He begins the evening off at an Amsterdam establishment, Cafe Schiller in Rembrandt Square, for the fried balls of dough and meat often known as bitterballen, or “brown gold,” earlier than biking over to Roopram Roti, a Surinamese restaurant that serves town’s finest roti.
After a couple of extra drinks, Abel heads to FEBO, a vending-machine restaurant that serves burgers and sandwiches, and talks to a couple of Amsterdam locals. He ends the evening at Metsut 2 for kapsalon, a dish invited within the Netherlands that is made up of French fries topped with shawarma.
